 Location: - Located on the National Highway just 1 K.M. away from the world famous tourist destination the Sun Temple of Konark, My College has the most convenient means of communication. 60K.M. away from the capital city of odisha, it is like a student’s paradise, so for as its natural environment and scenic beauty is concerned. Surrounded by strong boundary walls and trees our college spread over a vast area of 25 acres of land.
Inception: - This premier institute for Higher Education of this area has been catering to the needs of countless students and shaping their dreams for near about four decades. Almost all the students of Konark NAC along with Twenty Panchayats depend on this college for their higher study. It was established in the year 1978 by the painstaking endeavour of certain noble souls of this locality and named after the presiding deity of this place-Goddess “BHAGABATI”.
Facilities and Achievements: - It was started with +2 Arts stream. Gradually step by step other streams opened and now it has reached the stage of a ful-fledged institution having Arts, Science & Commerce in +2 Stream and both Arts & Science in +3 streams. To its great credit our college has honours facility in the subjects of Odia, History, Political Science, Economics in Arts & Phy, Chem. Math, Zoology & Botany in Science. Our college has all the facilities of a well furnished library. Laboratories, Teacher Common Room, Boys Common Room, Girls Common Room, Cycle-stand and a vast play ground. Adequate numbers of books are available in the college library to fulfil the requirements of the students. The SAMS centre is working successfully to help them. What is most remarkable is the fact that our college has all the units of NCC, NSS and Youth Red Cross in which the student’s participation will ensure him a developed personality and a bright career. Apart from this, the achievements of our students in these fields are outstanding and extra-ordinary. Under the training the officer in-charge of NCC, Lieutenant Binaya Bhusan Mohanty, Prof. in Political Science students of our college are coming out with flying colours. One of the students of our college Sergeant Minati Muduli has made us proud by participating in the NCC, National Game at New Delhi and who has been the flag Holder for Odisha. Senior under officer Tapan Kumar Biswal has participated in the RDC in New Delhi and become the contigent commander for Odisha. Another student, Anupama Kandi has participated in the THALA SENA CAMP-2017. Apart from these achievements, the three units of our college are regularly organising camps in the Konark Festival, Maghamela at Chandrabhaga and in many other occasions and rendering their self less service to the people. Every year, in +2 & +3 examinations conducted by CHSE & Utkal University, many students glorify and bring credit to our institution by their outstanding performance.
In addition to this, Our College is furnished with most excellent faculty members and active and spirited non-teaching staffs, having an aspiration to lead the college to a spectacular height of success. Most of the teachers have enhanced their expertise by attending different orientation and refresher courses organised by the University and different colleges. Adding to the credit of the college our professors attended as Guest of Honour and Resource Persons in different science exhibition and other such occasions held in different institutions and organisations nearby our college.
To conclude, I can say, endowed with most congenial natural environment, furnished with excellent faculty members and having an untarnished record of amicable teacher-taught relationship our institution can be looked upon as an ideal institution and glorious venue for the aspirants to shape their future career.
